Our creation is a beautiful and quirky twist on the original recipe.
Cake
Cream the butter and sugar till fluffy. Add in the eggs gradually. Then mix in flour, vanilla extract, orange zest and Chinese five spice, and mix. Lastly, fold in the raisins.
Pour the mix in a bun shaped mould and bake 160°C for 15-20 min.
Brush the cake with milk as it comes out of the oven.
Malai Kulfi
Boil the milk and cream till reduced to half. Add in the sugar and chill in the fridge.
Blend with a stick blender till smooth.
Pour the mixture in mould same size of the cake and freeze.

Making the cross on the kulfi
Cut out 2 paper strips and lay over the kulfi in a cross, then spray with red cocoa butter spray (easily found on Amazon). Remove the paper.
